A growing construction and development company is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Purchasing/Operations Manager to support residential, multifamily, and commercial development projects.
This individual will play a key role in purchasing, procurement, budgeting, vendor management, and preconstruction planning while helping support a rapidly expanding project pipeline.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage purchasing and procurement strategies
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
- Support budgeting and preconstruction efforts
- Review plans, specifications, and scopes of work
- Prepare bid packages and analyze proposals
- Build and maintain subcontractor/vendor relationships
- Identify cost-saving and value engineering opportunities
- Coordinate with operations, construction, and leadership teams
- Support process improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of purchasing, preconstruction, estimating, or construction operations experience
- Background in residential, multifamily, commercial, mixed-use, amenities and development projects
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods
- Experience negotiating with vendors and subcontractors
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
