As an AlphaBEST Site Director
, you'll lead a meaningful after‑school program that helps kids learn, grow, and thrive.

• Enjoys working with children in a structured, high‑energy environment
• Feels confident taking the lead and running a smooth program

• Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely
• Is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed

• Manage the day‑to‑day operations of the site: schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation
• Oversee/facilitate curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations
• Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards
• Make child safety the top priority at all times
• Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections
• Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements
• Supervise and mentor your site team, providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring training requirements are met
• Represent AlphaBEST with professionalism at school and community events
• Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success

• CPR and First Aid certification required (can be obtained within first 30 days of employment)
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership and supervision preferred
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
• Must be 21 years of age according to licensing regulations.
• Site Directors must meet 1 of the following requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Bachelor's Degree in a non‑related field from a regionally accredited college or university, plus one of the following:
• Four (4) years of experience in early childhood education;
• Child Development Associate Credential (CDA); or
• Birth – Pre‑K Credential.
• Associate degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field, plus six (6) years of experience in Early Childhood Education;
• Eight (8) years of experience in Early Childhood Education and completion of one of the following, within two (2) years of employment:
• Child Development Associate Credential;
• Birth – Pre‑K Credential;
• Director's Credential or the equivalent;
• Technical Certificate in Early Childhood Education.
