Overview
Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil‑gas, transportation, and manufacturing industries. With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects.
ResponsibilitiesTRC has openings for Archaeological Technician to staff a Phase I cultural resources survey. These individuals will participate in all types of archaeological field projects, ranging from small local surveys to large corridor surveys or data recovery projects. This is a part‑time/as‑needed position with the opportunity for full‑time employment.
- The Field Archeologist will work closely with other TRC archeologists in TRC's Planning, Permitting, and Licensing practice.
- We are looking for individuals enthusiastic about his/her work with a strong commitment to client service and technical excellence.
- The successful candidate will enjoy the challenges of working alongside others in a fast‑paced environment and of helping to develop effective solutions to both expected and unexpected project challenges.
- The positions will require regular travel and some projects may require overtime and/or extended workdays and work weeks.
- Candidates will be required to walk long distances and perform physically demanding tasks in varying environments and conditions (i.e., steep terrain, heat, cold). Employment with TRC is subject to the successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- A BA degree in Anthropology or a related field
- Archaeological field experience in the Southeast or adjacent regions
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to work closely with others as part of a larger project team
- A commitment to quality and safety
- A strong work ethic

- Candidates are required to successfully pass a drug test prior to employment or within five working days from date of hire in addition to a pre‑employment background check, physical and motor vehicle records check.

In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other CompensationEmployee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
