Performs ground-level switching, maintenance, and construction work on substation equipment with emphasis on safety and adherence to procedures.;
Clear work areas around structures and assist in installation of structures or cables as required.;
Communicate work plans to public and private property owners; flag traffic as needed.;
Assemble materials on the ground for use by line personnel or apprentices.;
Operate various hand and power tools required for the job; assist with night shift duties as needed.
