Senior Tax Associate

It’s the first key hire of a new chapter.

A boutique CPA firm in Jacksonville is in the final stages of a change in ownership. The incoming owner is ready to build thoughtfully, deliberately, and with the right people from day one.

They’re looking for a Senior Tax Associate who wants visibility, responsibility, and a genuine path forward.

• Tax & Accounting focused, with a small audit component
• Just over $1M in firm revenue
• Tight-knit team of 6–8 people
• Long-term plan to grow the firm and add more staff over time

This is a relationship-driven practice where clients know their accountant and expect to speak to them directly.

This is a hands-on, client-facing position with real responsibility from day one. You’ll be the go to person for the clients.

You’ll be:

• Preparing and reviewing tax returns (individual and business)
• Managing client relationships directly
• Working closely with CPAs on complex work
• Taking ownership of engagements rather than passing work down a chain
• Helping shape processes as the firm grows under new ownership

• 3+ years of Public accounting experience
• Strong tax foundation in a small or mid-sized firm
• Comfortable preparing and reviewing returns
• CPA preferred, or actively planning to pursue it
• Someone who wants to grow into a Manager-level role over time
