Senior Accountant

Overview

Vaco is hiring (2) Senior Accountants for a great organization in Jacksonville, Florida. These are direct hire opportunities that offer a hybrid work schedule.

• Compile and prepare financial statements, including detailed analysis and review.
• Apply strong technical knowledge of GAAP to ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial statements.
• Review and assess the Statement of Cash Flows, ensuring correct application of accounting principles.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and support financial reporting.
• Support accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with audits and manage relationships with external auditors.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Several years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in technical accounting.
• Extensive experience compiling and preparing financial statements.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and experience with complex accounting areas such as joint venture accounting, VIEs, and consolidations.
• Strong understanding of controlling and non-controlling interests.
• Demonstrated experience in technical accounting and the ability to interpret and apply accounting standards.
• Prior public accounting experience is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
