Accounts Payable Specialist

Vaco is hiring for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Jacksonville, Florida. This position is direct hire and offers a hybrid work environment.

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining vendor records, and ensuring timely and accurate payment of company obligations. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced accounting environment.

• Review, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately into the accounting system
• Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents (3‑way match)
• Resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal departments
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and research outstanding balances
• Maintain organized and accurate AP files and records
• Assist with month‑end closing activities, including accruals
• Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
• Support audits by providing required documentation
