Accounting Intern

Accounting Intern – Jacksonville, Florida

Redwire Space, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Intern to support payroll functions and assist with month‑end close activities at our Jacksonville, Florida facility.

• Exposure to payroll weekly processes end‑to‑end.
• Preparation of payroll general ledger account reconciliations.
• Preparation of correcting payroll journal entries.
• Assist the Payroll team with month‑end close journal entries.
• Run weekly reports in Paycor payroll module.
• Assist finance and payroll teams with daily operations, research, and record‑keeping tasks such as scanning, emailing, and organizing documents.

• Rising junior or higher, enrolled in a 4‑year accredited university pursuing accounting or finance.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.

• Passion for accounting, high energy, teamwork orientation, and a drive to excel.
• Excellence in academic performance, projects, internships, and creative, resourceful, open‑minded approach.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Availability for part‑time work during the school year (up to 20 hours/week) and full‑time during summer (up to 40 hours/week).
