Full Charge Bookkeeper | Construction Company
Jacksonville, FL
ARC Group is currently recruiting for a construction firm in Jacksonville, FL 32256 seeking a Bookkeeper with experience in Viewpoint Spectrum ERP. This is an on-site role supporting full-cycle accounting operations within a fast-paced commercial construction environment. The ideal candidate will have strong Accounts Payable experience, solid bookkeeping skills, and a working knowledge of construction accounting and job costing.
- Perform full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Code invoices to job cost codes, phases, and general ledger accounts
- Process vendor, subcontractor, and supplier invoices accurately and on time
- Prepare weekly check runs and ACH payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized financial and compliance documentation (contracts, invoices, lien records)
- Support job cost accounting and project financial tracking
- Assist with month-end close and general ledger entries
- Prepare journal entries and financial reporting support
- Monitor AR aging and assist with collections
- Assist with subcontractor pay applications and progress billing (AIA G702/G703 preferred)
- Support bank reconciliations and cash management functions
- Assist with audits, reporting, and accounting compliance tasks
- Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (AP-focused preferred)
- Experience in construction accounting required or strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with Viewpoint Spectrum ERP (preferred) or similar systems (Sage 100 / Sage 300 Contractor)
- Strong understanding of job costing and cost code structures
- Experience with vendor compliance documentation (W-9s, COIs, lien waivers)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
- Competitive salary ($55,000 – $65,000)
