Staff Accountant

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining general ledger and sub-ledger accounts while supporting accurate and timely financial reporting. This role works closely with internal teams to ensure financial data integrity, assist with month-end close, and provide reliable information to support organizational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end close processes
  • Maintain accuracy of accounts receivable, revenue transactions, and financial records
  • Generate and distribute customer invoices
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and support sub-ledger maintenance
  • Assist with payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable recordkeeping
  • Maintain organized financial documentation and supporting records
  • Analyze financial data including trends, costs, revenues, and obligations
  • Support preparation of monthly financial statements and reports
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Safeguard financial data and maintain confidentiality
Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
  • Up to 3 years of accounting experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with accounting systems and financial reporting tools
