Corporate Accounting Manager

Our client is a well-established and growing organization headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. The Corporate Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes, managing project accounting and financial reporting activities, and assisting with other reporting duties as needed. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical accounting foundation, leadership capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced growth environment.

• Manage and participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Support quarterly and annual external reporting requirements.
• Oversee project accounting activities, including monitoring project costs, revenue recognition, and financial performance.
• Manage daily cash reporting and assist with cash flow forecasting and analysis.
• Coordinate sales tax filings and compliance activities.
• Review and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger integrity.
• Partner with operational leaders to analyze financial results and support business decision-making.
• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Support external audits and coordinate requests from auditors.
• Develop, document, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to accounting staff and transactional accounting functions, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior experience in a public company environment strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience managing month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.
• Knowledge of project accounting, percentage-of-completion accounting, or contract accounting is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting audits and internal control initiatives.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
