Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join a large logistics/transportation company at one of their corporate offices in Jacksonville! This person will be working under the corporate controller and VP of Finance to manage general accounting functions and processes.

This role will be onsite at their corporate office on the southside of Jacksonville. • Actively participate in completing month-end activities
• Prepare journal entries including intercompany and other closing adjustments
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts ensuring accuracy of financial data
• Assist during year-end close and external audit by finalizing financials and preparing work papers
• Create various ad-hoc analyses as needed
• Participate and contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant major
• 2+ years of experience in accounting
• Public accounting experience is highly preferred
• Intermediate to expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with large ERP systems
