Senior Accountant
Location:
Jacksonville, FL. Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year.
Fast‑growing privately held company is seeking a hands‑on Senior Accountant to support day‑to‑day accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives within a collaborative entrepreneurial environment. This role offers direct exposure to ownership and the opportunity to help support a growing organization with strong long‑term potential. The ideal candidate will bring strong operational accounting experience, Quick Books Desktop expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced small business environment.

- Maintain and reconcile financial transactions within Quick Books Desktop
- Oversee AP/AR processes including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Support payroll entries, employee reimbursements, and cash flow tracking
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial reporting packages
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting
- Partner with ownership and external CPA firms on tax and compliance support
- Maintain organized accounting records and support audit/review activities
- Help improve accounting procedures, workflows, and internal controls
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong Quick Books Desktop experience required
- Strong understanding of GAAP and operational accounting processes
- Experience with in inventory‑based, manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, or small business environments preferred
- Strong reconciliation, reporting, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a collaborative team environment
- Experience supporting external CPA/tax processes preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
