We are a growing, hands‑on team looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, staying organized, and helping keep the financial side of the business running smoothly.
About the RoleWe are seeking a Bookkeeper to manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping, payroll administration, invoicing, sales tax reporting, and employee PTO tracking. This is a hands‑on position that works closely with company leadership and our outside accounting partners, who file company annual taxes, to ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting.
Accounting & Bookkeeping- Maintain company records in Quick Books
- Enter and process vendor bills, invoices, payments, and deposits
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
- Assist with month‑end closing activities and financial reporting
- Maintain organized digital records and supporting documentation
- Create and send customer invoices via Quick Books. This needs to be done frequently and promptly.
- Apply customer payments and maintain accurate records
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts
- Provide customer account statements as needed
- Process and coordinate payroll with payroll providers
- Review payroll reports for accuracy, including for hourly employees
- Maintain employee payroll records and documentation
- Ensure confidentiality of all payroll information
- Prepare and file state and local sales tax reports
- Maintain accurate records of taxable and non‑taxable transactions
- Work with management and outside accountants to ensure compliance
- Track employee PTO, vacation, and sick leave balances
- Maintain employee records related to time off and payroll
- Assist management with PTO reporting and recordkeeping
- 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, or related experience
- Experience using Quick Books (Online or Desktop)
- Understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Experience processing payroll or coordinating with a payroll provider
- Familiarity with sales tax reporting and filings
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Work directly with company leadership
