Senior Accounting Manager; CPA

Location: Jacksonville, FL (Local candidates only – no relocation available)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to lead the day-to-day accounting operations for a growing manufacturing organization. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for financial reporting, general ledger management, month‑end close, internal controls, compliance, and developing a high‑performing accounting team.

The ideal candidate is a licensed CPA with a strong background in audit and corporate accounting who enjoys improving processes, ensuring financial accuracy, and partnering with leadership to support business objectives.

• Lead the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger, financial reporting, and payroll oversight.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes.
• Prepare and review accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee account reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase operational efficiency.
• Review financial results, analyze variances, and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor, coach, and develop accounting staff while fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Support special projects and other finance initiatives as needed.

• Active CPA license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Must currently reside in the Jacksonville, FL area. No relocation assistance is available.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting and/or audit experience.
• Experience leading accounting teams in a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit processes.
• Experience managing month‑end and year‑end close.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.

• Manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms.
• Background in process improvement and internal control enhancements.
