Our client, a well-established and growing law firm, is seeking a Staff Accountant to add to their team in Jacksonville, FL. Reporting directly to the Finance Director and working alongside a small, collaborative team, you’ll play a key role in supporting financial reporting, analysis, and month-end close. You’ll contribute across a variety of accounting functions, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, posting daily bank activity, supporting payroll and benefits, and analyzing monthly compensation and insurance data.

- Perform account reconciliations
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Assist with cash posting and daily cash management
- Support accounts receivable
- Monitor collections; follow up on overdue accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Collaborate with the team
- Help improve accounting processes and workflow
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 2+ years accounting experience required
- Financial reporting experience required
- Large/complex general ledger (200+ accounts) experience required
- Full-cycle month-end close experience required
- Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation) skills required
- Accounting software experience required
