Atlantic Coast Construction Group has one (1) position to fill for a Bookkeeper/Accounting Manager role. This role has significant opportunity to growth with the company. Not everyone will qualify, so please read the requirements carefully.
We are a growing commercial construction and General Contracting company seeking an organized, detail-oriented accounting professional to manage the day-to-day bookkeeping functions of our business. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting project accounting, and providing timely financial information to management.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have- 3-5+ years of bookkeeping experience.
- Experience working in the commercial construction industry.
- 2+ years of experience preparing AIA G702/G703 pay applications and complete pay application packets.
- Experience recording AIA pay application revenue in Quick Books.
- Experience using Cost Codes / Item list for AP
- Experience using AP Automation Ai Tools
- Experience with job costing and project accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of Quick Books (Desktop or Online).
- Experience preparing journal entries, Monthly Closing, and performing account reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- The ability to prioritize multiple tasks while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating with project managers and company leadership.
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable accurately and on time.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain vendor and customer records.
- Track project costs and assist with job costing.
- Prepare AIA G702/G703 pay applications and supporting documentation.
- Record pay application revenue accurately in Quick Books.
- Prepare financial reports for management.
- Support the Controller and management team with accounting and administrative tasks.
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Help ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices.
- Experience working for a commercial general contractor or masonry contractor.
- Experience with construction job costing and project accounting.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Stable, growing commercial construction company.
