Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

Responsibilities

• Partner with local leadership on financial strategy, planning, budgeting, and business decisions.
• Lead monthly reporting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and financial analysis.
• Oversee accounting operations, month-end/year-end close, financial statements, and internal controls.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of profitability, margins, inventory, and operating performance.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivables, collections, credit, banking, and cash management.
• Coordinate tax filings, government reporting, payroll-related requirements, and external audits.
• Support inventory counts, costing, and other manufacturing finance activities.
• Maintain key financial, contractual, insurance, lease, and corporate records.
• Improve accounting systems, reporting processes, controls, and management information.
• Work closely with Group Finance, auditors, banks, legal advisors, and other external partners.
• Supervise and develop accounting/payroll staff as required.

• 5+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is an asset.
• Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash management, and cost accounting.
• Practical knowledge of inventory control and manufacturing accounting.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Experience with accounting systems;
  Quick Books experience is an asset.
• Experience with external audits, internal controls, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Hands-on, organized, and comfortable working directly with senior management.
