A Staff Accountant opportunity is available with a growing organization in Jacksonville.

In this role, you will play an important part in maintaining accurate accounting records while supporting senior team members across a variety of general accounting and financial reporting activities.

- Assist with month-end close by preparing journal entries and performing variance analysis
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Maintain schedules for fixed assets, prepaids, and other accruals
- Support audits and SEC reporting by preparing supporting documentation and analyzing data
- Perform ad hoc accounting and financial reporting projects as requested by management
- Provide general accounting support to senior staff as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum 1 year of experience with month-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analysis
- Strong understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including lookups and pivot tables
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to take initiative and work effectively in a dynamic environment
- CPA or currently working toward CPA licensure
- Public-company experience, including exposure to SEC reporting and compliance
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
