We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Collections Specialist to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and recovering outstanding accounts, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service throughout the collections process.
Key Responsibilities- Contact customers via phone and email to collect outstanding payments in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of collection activities and customer interactions using dashboards and accounting software.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure all payments are properly applied in Quick Books Online (QBO).
- Follow up consistently on overdue accounts to reduce delinquency and improve cash flow.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and customer disputes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in collections and accounts receivable.
- Strong phone and email communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in dashboard input and data management.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliation processes.
- Experience with Quick Books Online (QBO) or similar accounting software.
- Ability to follow up persistently and maintain organized records.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
