Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is ideal for someone who is confident managing core accounting functions, maintaining accurate records, and helping keep reporting deadlines on track. The successful candidate will bring practical bookkeeping experience, strong organizational skills, and a hands-on approach to accounts management.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain complete and accurate financial records by recording daily transactions and verifying supporting documentation.

- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring invoices, payments, and collections are processed in a timely manner.

- Perform regular reconciliations for bank accounts and balance sheet accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.

- Assist with month-end close tasks, including reviewing ledgers, preparing adjustments, and supporting financial reporting activities.

- Prepare and track sales tax and payroll tax documentation to help ensure timely and accurate filings.

- Process payroll information with attention to accuracy, deadlines, and applicable reporting requirements.

- Use Quick Books and Excel to manage bookkeeping data, generate reports, and maintain organized financial records.

- Enter and update accounting information with a high degree of accuracy while supporting overall administrative accounting needs. Requirements

- At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience in a hands-on accounting environment.

- Preference for experience with CPA firm experience

- Experience supporting month-end close activities and maintaining accurate general financial records.

- Working knowledge of sales tax preparation and payroll tax preparation requirements.

- Proficiency with Quick Books and Microsoft Excel for financial tracking, reporting, and data management.

- Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail when handling financial information.

- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, stay organized, and work independently with minimal supervision.
