this position is not a telework position and is required to report to the fdc office in the area it serves.
responsibilities- plans, initiates, and carries to completion secretarial and administrative responsibilities for the regional director’s office.
- responsible for handling all incoming mail and packages, efficiently routing communications, and drafting correspondence for the director’s review and approval.
- conduct thoroughresearch and create detailed reports for the regional director. Manage appointments and travel arrangements and play a key role in helping to prepare for american correctional association (aca) audits.
- inform and assist regional staff on procedures, programs, and policies, coordinate conference space, support human resource processes, assist with equipment inventory, and collaborate with the central office obistech unit to resolve operational issues and conduct staff training.

- a high school diploma or its equivalent and
- three years of clerical or criminal justice program experience.
- vocational/technical training in law enforcement, data processing, or secretarial science.
- college coursework from an accredited institution can substitute for the required experience at the rate of 30 semester, 45 quarter or 720 classroom hours for each year of the required experience.

the florida department of corrections requires all job applicants and volunteers to pass a level 2 background check as per chapter 435, florida statutes. This check must be completed before they can start working or volunteering.
