Role Overview
The Middle District of Florida is seeking a highly motivated, full‑time Case Administrator to support the Court’s mission of providing fair and impartial justice to all. The position is located in the Jacksonville Division.
Responsibilities- Review and process filings to ensure compliance with applicable rules and court requirements.
- Verify attorney eligibility to practice before the Court.
- Maintain the integrity of case files by monitoring proper access to records.
- Docket summary entries of documents and proceedings in the Court’s electronic filing system.
- Perform quality control to ensure image accuracy and proper document linkage.
- Promptly notify chambers and Clerk’s Office staff of emergency filings.
- Prepare and distribute notices, judgments, and orders to appropriate parties.
- Respond to inquiries from judges, chambers staff, attorneys, and the public both in person and by telephone.
- Open and close civil and criminal cases.
- Perform finance duties and process mail.
- Assist with intake operations and archive/records management.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible legal administrative work experience.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and computer skills.
- Professional demeanor, extreme detail orientation, strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat helpful (CM/ECF experience highly desirable).

SalaryCL 25: $49,361 – $80,265. New federal employees: $49,361 – $61,722. Current or former federal employees: $49,361 – $80,265. Starting salary adjustments prioritize prior federal service, with possible additional recognition of relevant work experience.

Employees of the United States Courts serve under excepted appointments and are considered “at-will” employees.
