Job Summary

Provide assistance to branch Operations department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls into the Operations department
  • Communicate with van operators regarding delivery information on shipments
  • Update van operations regarding changes with shipment delivery
  • Update Movers Suite
  • Generate reports as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow through
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education / Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to two years of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
Math Ability
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Computer Skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn and effectively use enterprise software such as move management software and software for timekeeping and related functions
  • Must have strong data entry skills
