Job Summary
Provide assistance to branch Operations department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Answer incoming calls into the Operations department
- Communicate with van operators regarding delivery information on shipments
- Update van operations regarding changes with shipment delivery
- Update Movers Suite
- Generate reports as requested
- Other duties as assigned
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and follow through
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education / ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to two years of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn and effectively use enterprise software such as move management software and software for timekeeping and related functions
- Must have strong data entry skills
