Position Title: STAFF ASSISTANT OPS
Agency: Department of Children and Families
Location: 4080 Woodcock Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32207 (Onsite, not eligible for teleworking)
Pay Rate: $16.71 per hour, DCF Salary Policy applies
Work Schedule: Full‑time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. EST
DescriptionThis position performs a variety of office administrative support functions requiring independent judgment, research, collection of information/data, preparation and maintenance of reports, and maintains the confidentiality of sensitive information. Assists with special projects and provides guidance to the administration to ensure deadlines are met and/or targets are achieved.
Responsibilities- Filing, scanning, and data entry
- Preparing correspondence and reports
- Scheduling and calendar coordination
- Tracking deadlines and supporting projects
- Providing customer service and office support
- Three (3) years secretarial or clerical experience, including reviewing, evaluating, and verifying a high volume of documents for accuracy and completeness
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds as needed for file management, materials transport, or related tasks
- Recruitment and selection experience
- Strong relationship‑building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
