Trade Compliance Analyst

Overview

The Trade Compliance Analyst will support the Legal, Trade Compliance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams by ensuring compliance with U.S. trade regulations, customs requirements, supplier due diligence obligations, and internal compliance standards. This role will assist with supplier compliance programs related to Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) requirements, Section 232, Section 301, anti-dumping/countervailing duty regulations, customs clearance, import/export documentation, supplier certifications, contract administration, and compliance recordkeeping.

The ideal candidate will have experience in international trade compliance, customs operations, import/export regulations, supplier management, and contract administration within a manufacturing, logistics, renewable energy, or international trade environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Support the administration of the company’s trade compliance program.
  • Review, track, and maintain supplier certifications, compliance questionnaires, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with supplier due diligence related to FEOC requirements and applicable federal incentive programs.
  • Maintain supplier compliance records related to FEOC, supply chain traceability, and country-of-origin requirements.
  • Support supplier verification efforts related to Section 232, Section 301, AD/CVD, and other trade restrictions.
  • Monitor supplier compliance documentation and escalate deficiencies, missing records, or potential compliance concerns.
  • Prepare compliance reports, summaries, and documentation for internal stakeholders.
  • Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and corrective action follow-ups.
Customs and Logistics Support
  • Assist Logistics and Supply Chain teams with customs clearance activities.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal teams to obtain required import documentation.
  • Support classification, valuation, and country-of-origin determinations.
  • Maintain import and export records in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with responses to customs inquiries, requests for information, audits, and document reviews.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation for international shipments.
  • Serve as a point of contact for supplier compliance documentation requests.
  • Track supplier certifications, expiration dates, and renewal requirements.
  • Maintain supplier compliance databases and document repositories.
  • Coordinate the collection of compliance documentation from domestic and international suppliers.
  • Support supplier onboarding and periodic supplier reviews from a trade compliance perspective.
  • Work cross-functionally with Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Legal teams to ensure supplier compliance requirements are met.
Contract Management and Legal Support
  • Assist the Legal Department with contract administration and document management.
  • Maintain contract databases and contract lifecycle management systems.
  • Track contract execution status, renewal dates, notice periods, and key contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate contract signature routing and document retention.
  • Prepare contract summaries, compliance tracking reports, and internal documentation.
  • Assist with legal department recordkeeping and compliance initiatives.
  • Support special projects involving procurement, logistics, manufacturing operations, supplier management, and regulatory compliance.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Legal Studies, Political Science, or a related field.
Experience
  • 2–5 years of experience in trade compliance, customs compliance, import/export operations, supply chain compliance, contract administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working with U.S. Customs and Border Protection requirements preferred.
