Collins Aerospace, a RTX business unit (site controller for Engineered Polymer Products in Jacksonville, FL). This role leads Finance and Accounting for the EPP business and supports governance, compliance, and strategic decision-making across two Jacksonville manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities
  • Supports monthly, quarterly, and annual financial processes including month-end close, monthly forecasting, establishing and managing overhead rates, and establishing the annual operating plan (AOP) and 5-year strategic plan.
  • Analyzes financial results and collaborates with leadership and program teams to understand drivers of variances and identify initiatives to improve results.
  • Supports execution of US Government contracts across the program life cycle from capture to close-out; understands government accounting rules (FAR/DFARS/CAS) and interfaces with government agencies on audits.
  • Provides financial support on business proposals and negotiations, including TINA certification; interprets financial implications of contract terms and conditions.
  • Evaluates and provides guidance on Estimates at Complete to ensure proper revenue recognition while analyzing program cost and schedule control.
  • Ensures financial controls comply with US GAAP, SOX, and applicable requirements; leads risk assessments, audits, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Leads and reviews the activities of a team of 6 Finance Professionals; recruits and retains a high-performing team and ensures staff is trained and equipped to execute roles.
  • Collaborates with the site General Manager, IPT leads, and cross-functional leaders to solve issues and align on priorities across two manufacturing sites in Jacksonville, FL.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree with minimum 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 7 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of financial leadership.
  • Experience in financial management and execution of defense programs and US government contracts.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, and other statutory requirements.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be capable of obtaining a US DoD security clearance; subject to government security investigation/reinstatement and eligibility requirements.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience implementing continuous process improvements; ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of Program Cost & Schedule control tools including Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Estimates at Complete (EACs).
  • Experience with budgets and rates, indirect rates, and overhead pools.
  • Experience conducting or supporting critical process controls audits.
  • Experience in competitive capture, proposals, and contract negotiations.
  • Experience with SAP and Business Warehouse.
