Job SummaryPlanning and implementing communications, public relations, and outreach strategies on multiple media platforms for the Church. Working in conjunction with the School and Early Learning Center (ECLC) for complete Parish communications.
Public Relations Areas of Responsibility- Coordinate all communication efforts, including but not limited to the Church bulletin, Church website, my Parish App, and other related platforms.
- Work with Parish ministries to ensure timely updates to parishioners on activities and upcoming events.
- Communicate with School and ECLC for shared publications on all platforms.
- Assist in planning Parish events for Church, School, and Early Learning Center; create flyers, signage, and media for timely communications.
- Prepare and analyze reports as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Be a practicing Catholic in good standing.
- Knowledge of the teaching of the Catholic Church, its structures, functions, and institutions.
- Proficiency in computers, various software, and office equipment.
- Ability to work independently and be flexible in a changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Leadership and responsibility.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, vendors, employees, and the public.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, divide; compute rate, ratio, and percent; draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
Physical DemandsRegularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; lift or move up to 20 pounds. Vision: close, distance, and ability to adjust focus.
Working ConditionsModerate noise level; flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary; ability to travel and drive one's own vehicle to various diocesan locations.
