Maintenance Assistant; OPS

Overview

• Maintenance work including assisting with painting, plumbing, and minor repairs.
• Moving furniture, cleaning, and other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Superintendent.
• Ability to quickly learn methods of repair and use hand tools and handheld power tools (experience preferred).
• Maintain a professional attitude, promote departmental and university policies, and represent UNF Housing and Residence Life positively with residents and guests.
• Use diplomacy with individuals of various backgrounds and ages.

• Ability to learn new skills; good communication skills; flexible with a variety of assignments; sound judgment.
• Experience working in a customer-service oriented environment (mandatory).
• Must not be a current UNF student for this position type.

• This position requires a background check; per University policy, this position may also require a credit check.
