Job Description

This job is responsible for analyzing processes, documenting business case opportunities, and implementing process improvement/transformation initiatives in support of Operational Excellence objectives. Key responsibilities include supporting the execution of change initiatives which may result in cost efficiencies, quality, productivity, and risk mitigation. Job expectations include working with business leaders and subject matter experts, ensuring collaboration and transparency across integrated business and technology teams, and driving execution of solutions within the budget and timeline.

Job Description

Wealth Management Operations (WMO) provides end-to end operational support of Merrill, Private Bank, and Workplace Benefits. The Strategy and Transformation Team within WMO leads the evolution and full integration of the Operational Excellence program within the organization. The team leads strategic work efforts geared toward improving Wealth Management Operations using process analysis techniques and supports Process Owners (PO) to drive recommendations on strategic direction and compliance with the Enterprise Process Management Policy.

Through collaboration with WMO Senior Leaders, Process Owners, WMO Business Controls, and Change Management and Project Delivery, a process design consultant on this team will:

  • Support Process Owners in building and maintaining comprehensive process documentation to enable decision making, provide proof of regulatory compliance, and to sustain continuous process improvement
  • Promote and facilitate the use of process management principles and tools to assess processes and aid in the identification of process improvement opportunities including: documenting current state processes, identifying pain points, and developing target state solution recommendations
  • Manage the pipeline and continuous refinement of process improvement opportunities to build compelling business cases that allow leaders to understand the benefits, costs, and justification of implementing change
