The Enterprise Strategy Consultant owns a full engagement module — a coherent problem area within a Guide Well strategy engagement — and runs it autonomously from hypothesis to recommendation. The Associate shapes the module’s hypotheses and analytical approach, picks the right methods unprompted, and synthesizes the work into a defensible recommendation that holds up to challenge. Associates also carry the day-to-day relationships with the business-unit stakeholders in their module, and are fluent in a domain — Medicare Advantage, commercial, pharmacy, or similar — to be credible with the subject-matter experts they work alongside.
This is the level at which the toolkit becomes judgment: the priority is to be trusted with a whole problem area, and to prepare for Senior Associate, where scope widens to several modules and a small team.
Guide Well is building an in-house Enterprise Strategy team — a strategy and internal-consulting group that works on the company’s most important questions — and we are hiring Associates to help form its foundation. As an Associate, you own a full module of an engagement: you frame the hypotheses, decide how the problem gets solved, direct the analysis, and carry it through to a recommendation you can defend to the business.
You also own the day-to-day relationship with the stakeholders in your problem area — consulting-caliber ownership and a close-up view of a Fortune 500 health company, without the constant travel.
You will thrive here if you would rather shape the approach than receive it, are comfortable being the person who owns a whole problem area, and want to go deep enough in a domain to be credible with the people who live in it every day.
What makes Guide Well different:- A not-for-profit, mission-driven company — one of the nation’s largest health insurers and a Fortune 500 organization — whose purpose is helping people and communities achieve better health.
- Core Blue Cross Blue Shield health plans in Florida (Florida Blue) and Puerto Rico (Triple-S), with deep ties to government-sponsored health care and the members who rely on it.
- A diversified portfolio that reaches well beyond insurance — including Guide Well Health care delivery (Sanitas Medical Centers, Guide Well Emergency Doctors, and Florida Health Care Plans), Guide Well Source, WebTPA, and Lucet — serving tens of millions of people across all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- A policyholder-owned, long-term orientation and a strong balance sheet that let us invest in health-care-defining capabilities rather than chase quarterly results.
- Deep community trust and a genuine focus on impact in everything we do.
- Own a whole problem, not a slice — a full module you run autonomously, with a recommendation that carries your name on it.
- Shape the thinking, not just the analysis — you set the hypotheses and pick the methods, and you are expected to have a point of view.
- Build durable domain expertise — go deep in Medicare Advantage, commercial, pharmacy, or another domain and become someone the business seeks out.
- Know exactly how to grow — clear, published levels and a competency model show what "great" looks like, all the way to Head of Enterprise Strategy.
- Or use the team as a launchpad into the business: mobility opens at this level, with optional 6–12 month secondments that carry a guaranteed path back, followed by sponsored placement.
If you want to own a real problem area inside a Fortune 500 health company, and you want that work to matter, we would like to meet you.
