PositionSummary
The Area Superintendent, Concrete provides leadership and oversight across multiple job sites, crews, and concrete superintendents. This role is responsible for coordinating manpower, maintaining quality standards, managing productivity, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise multiple job sites and/or concrete superintendents across Northeast Florida
- Coordinate crew scheduling, and equipment needs with project managers
- Ensure work is on time, within scope, and meets quality expectations
- Conduct regular job site visits to review progress, safety compliance, and crew performance
- Mentor and coach superintendents and foremen; provide training and leadership development
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Communicate regularly with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders
- Review and approve timesheets, daily reports, and field documentation
- Identify and resolve issues that may impact schedule, cost, or safety
- Promote and enforce safety policies and procedures across all projects
- 7+ years of experience in concrete construction, with at least 2 years managing multiple crews or job sites
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage others
- Strong knowledge of concrete construction techniques, materials, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schedules, and job specifications
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
