This is a full-time, on-site Estimator role based in Jacksonville, FL. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing construction and project documents, preparing cost estimates, and assisting in the development of competitive bids. Daily tasks include reviewing and interpreting project plans, preparing cost assessments for materials, labor, and overall project resources, and collaborating with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. The Estimator will also be involved in risk assessment and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Qualifications- Proven experience in construction cost estimating and interpreting project plans and specifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of construction software, cost estimation tools, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams, subcontractors, and clients
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations within the construction industry
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Understanding of risk assessment and bid preparation is a plus
- Proactive and time management skills to meet bidding and project deadlines
