Construction Foreman - Construction/Installations

Job Description

This position will coordinate job duties and delegate tasks to construction workers and sub‑contractors, work closely with construction managers, estimators and internal departments to ensure jobs are completed on time, and help train junior crew members. The role requires a flexible schedule outside typical 8‑5 shifts, variable hours based on workload and customer need, and travel out of town.

Essential Functions
  • Monitor and maintain schedules for workers and sub‑contractors, ensuring the best skills are applied and that product installation requirements are followed accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure all safe work practices and safe housekeeping practices are followed at all times.
  • Brief crew members on daily tasks and direct workers on assigned tasks.
  • Track rental equipment, material needs and usage, monitor labor and sub‑contractor costs to maintain project budgets, and verify accuracy and compliance of tasks in progress to comply with codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
  • Document daily activities, material and parts used, testing, inspections, and visitors.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with crew members, vendors, suppliers, and sub‑contractors to ensure timely flow of supplies, materials and work.
  • Operate heavy equipment to dig ditches and manually install equipment.
  • Work with concrete, framing, pouring, mixing, and finishing.
  • Be able to travel to job sites.
Experience, Competencies and Education
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3–5 years construction experience leading crews and sub‑contractors, preferably in petroleum construction.
  • 40‑hour OSHA training is a plus.
  • Equipment operation experience with skid‑steer loaders, mini excavators and rubber‑tire backhoes.
  • Detail‑oriented.
  • Self‑starter with strong leadership qualities.
  • Ability to lift 75–100 lbs.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
