Job Description & How to Apply Below
  • Our client is a well-established general contractor with a strong regional presence across the Gulf Coast and Southeast, known for delivering complex commercial construction projects and for the long-term relationships they build with owners and design teams. Due to continued growth, they are hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead their most complex commercial projects in the Jacksonville market from buyout through closeout.
About

the Role

This is the most senior seat on the Project Manager track, carrying full ownership of safety, quality, schedule, and budget on high-complexity projects. The Senior PM also holds key owner and design-team relationships that drive repeat business, and plays a leadership role in mentoring PMs and APMs while helping shape how the department runs.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead project teams to execute safely, holding the jobsite accountable to strong safety standards
  • Own complex commercial projects end-to-end with high accountability and sound judgment
  • Coordinate scope proactively to ensure work is built right the first time, minimizing rework
  • Drive planning, procurement, and coordination to protect milestones and turnover dates
  • Own buyout, forecasting, change management, and cost control to deliver strong project profitability
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with owners and architects that generate repeat opportunities
  • Mentor Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, and help elevate systems and consistency across the department
What You Bring
  • 5+ years managing commercial construction projects as the PM of record, including complex or multi-phase work
  • Proven ownership of buyout, forecasting, change management, and monthly cost projections
  • A track record of strong owner and design-team relationships, ideally including repeat clients
  • Experience mentoring or developing PMs, APMs, or project engineers
  • Valid driver's license, and ability to pass background, drug, and driving-record screening
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Experience with construction project-management software (Procore, Outbuild, or similar) preferred What Success Looks Like

The right person leads with quiet confidence, owns mistakes, and shares credit. They take ownership and move with urgency, solving problems instead of making excuses. They read the room, build trust, and create win-win outcomes with owners, designers, and trade partners. They invest in developing the people around them, and they take the work seriously without taking themselves too seriously.

This search is being conducted on a confidential basis on behalf of our client. Company details will be shared with qualified candidates as the process progresses.
