Overview
The Jacksonville Symphony seeks a Graphic Designer & Creative Services Manager to shape its visual identity. Reporting to the Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer, this role supports ticket sales, subscriptions, fundraising and audience engagement through compelling visual storytelling. On-site in Jacksonville, Florida, you will be part of a collaborative Marketing & Communications team.
Responsibilities- Lead Creative Direction & Brand Stewardship
- Serve as a key creative voice advancing the Jacksonville Symphony brand
- Own visual identity execution across print, digital and environmental channels
- Translate artistic programming and marketing strategy into clear visual narratives
- Contribute to campaign planning and creative process improvement
- Design & Produce Campaign Assets
- Create materials including season brochures, concert programs, annual reports, digital ads, email/web graphics, signage and more
- Support building, lobby and event signage for a cohesive patron experience
- Develop materials that drive ticket revenue, subscriptions and fundraising
- Prepare production-ready artwork and perform photo retouching as needed
- Produce internal materials using standard and large-format printers
- Manage Projects & Systems
- Manage multiple concurrent projects in a deadline-driven environment
- Collaborate closely with marketing colleagues on timelines and priorities
- Maintain organized files, templates and asset libraries
- Help evolve creative systems, templates and workflows as the organization grows
- Ensure Quality & Consistency
- Uphold high design standards across all materials
- Deliver accurate, on-brand work on schedule
- Maintain detail-oriented oversight from concept through production
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years professional design experience (agency or in-house)
- Advanced Adobe Creative Suite proficiency (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Strong typography, layout and visual hierarchy skills
- Experience across print, digital, social and large-scale signage
- Ability to manage multiple priorities confidently
- Interest in performing arts or cultural organizations
- Motion graphics/video experience a plus
- Portfolio required
