Job SummaryThe Football Content Creator will work closely with members of the athletic administration, coaches, marketing, and media relations in developing content that tells the story of Jacksonville State football, student‑athletes, and the University.
The Football Content Creator is responsible for creating strategies to enhance the Jacksonville State football brand across all digital mediums, developing the football program’s recruiting strategy, engaging the fan base on social media, and creating individual content for football student‑athletes while exploring and implementing emerging strategies to enhance content production.
Duties And Responsibilities- Produce, shoot, and edit all football content for social media and recruiting.
- Contribute to the overarching social media and video strategic plan.
- Create and execute creative, trend‑setting ideas and concepts for the football program.
- Maintain a positive attitude toward performing job duties and working with other staff members.
- Exhibit diplomacy and tact while protecting confidentiality.
- Work on deadline and manage several tasks simultaneously with consistent follow‑through.
- Maintain strict adherence to established NCAA, conference, and University rules and regulations.
- Take pride in materials created for the football program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with video producing, shooting and editing.
- Proven artistic skills with a strong eye and a high aesthetic for videography, photography, graphic and interactive design, typography, etc.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.), Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, cameras, lighting, and sound.
- Experience working in higher education and/or a sports‑related field.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including interviewing, editing, and proof‑reading.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as typical in collegiate athletics.
- Experience in social media, social media strategies and content creation.
- Recruiting at the FBS level.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Experience with a Division 1 football program or professional team.
