Customer Service Representative

Responsible for providing superior service to customers, including responding to inquiries, receiving orders, monitoring status, resolving complaints, and adjusting billing.

• Receive, process, and track assigned orders through to scheduling.
• Consult with internal departments to ensure order completeness, on-time delivery, and accurate invoicing.
• Communicate significant information regarding customer accounts and orders to appropriate departments, ensuring Sales Representatives are informed of pertinent activity.
• Coordinate customer requests for product specifications, availability, shipping, quotations and estimates, and samples.
• Serve as a link between the customer and the design, sales and production teams to meet customer requirements, including scheduling production, securing delivery dates, addressing order changes, and resolving complaints.
• Maintain organized customer files.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints, including billing issues, and escalates to manager or appropriate departments when needed.
• Manage on-hand inventory levels and reconcile to customer orders, forecast and just‑in‑time schedules; taking physical inventory at month end.

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Two (2) years of customer service experience with order entry systems and building positive customer relationships.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Associate’s degree or college business coursework.
• Experience using automated order entry systems.
• Experience in manufacturing, container board, or corrugated packaging industry.

• Strong attention to meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
• Ability to network and build relationships with individuals at various experience and corporate levels.
• Strong active listening and evaluating skills.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, ability to review multiple documents and reports.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
• Above‑average written and verbal communication skills, including effective phone communication with customers.
• Strong organizational skills, managing numerous details, deadlines, and requests.
• Preferred experience working in a team environment or strong understanding of open communication and information sharing.
• Ability to work flexible hours or overtime as needed.

• Starting salary range: $46,000 to $52,000.
• Bonus: annual, based on individual contribution and overall company performance.
• Paid vacation: three (3) weeks per calendar year; pro‑rata during the initial year based on start date.
• Paid holidays.
• Within the first 30 days, eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and vision coverage; automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverage.
• Automatically enrolled in 401(k) plan with pre‑tax and Roth options and employer matching contributions.
