Veterinary Client Service Representative
Capital Veterinary Specialists is looking for a Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.
Schedule:
4 – ten‑hour shifts, every other weekend required.
Location:
Jacksonville, Florida.
We are seeking an individual with strong emotional competencies who delivers exceptional customer service, demonstrates a warm personality, and has experience in customer service leadership. Preferred experience includes a specialty and/or emergency setting.
Qualifications- High school diploma
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows platform, and email
- Experience in team scheduling
- 2–4 years of veterinary customer service experience
- Highly developed written and communication skills
- Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to adapt and work well in a busy environment
- Ability to lead a team of client service representatives
- Ensure all client and patient information is accurate, schedule appointments, and obtain appropriate signatures
- Document all client correspondence and retrieve requested information from medical records
- Help create accurate, timely medical records by verifying charges, scanning paperwork, and attaching records
- Support service departments with administrative needs including scanning, faxes, entering patient weights, and contacting clients for paperwork and deposits
- Accurately process client payments, including cash, credit, check, scratch‑pay, and Care Credit
- Must be comfortable around cats and dogs and other animals
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs without assistance
- Professionally greet clients and patients, deliver exceptional customer service, and answer all client questions and concerns in a friendly, kind, and informative manner
- Communicate and collaborate with staff regarding patient care and client questions
- Document all communications and conversations
- Maintain communal areas such as the lobby and exam rooms
- Perform administrative intake duties and general administrative tasks
- Manage appointment schedule and confirm upcoming appointments
- Maintain a positive attitude while being courteous, professional, and kind
- Foster an enthusiastic, collaborative, and respectful team culture
- Train new team members and promote a positive learning environment
- Ensure each client interaction is handled with care and efficiency
Exposure may occur to biohazardous substances, chemical hazards, unpleasant odors, loud noises, animal feces, and emotionally stressful situations.

Hourly pay rate starting at $18 per hour; negotiable based on credentials and experience.
