Location DescriptionIn the heart of south Jacksonville, our hotel rests in a lively neighborhood with some of the city’s finest restaurants and businesses, including ADP, Merrill Lynch, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Bank of America, Johnson and Johnson, and Diversified Clinical. Check out the 25+ restaurants and movie theater within short walking distance. We’re also less than 20 minutes to Jacksonville University, 20 minutes to beaches, and only 10 minutes to St Johns Town Center.
Our accommodations offer spacious studio suites with separate areas for sleeping, working and relaxing. Each suite offers a 49-inch LCD HDTV, free Internet access, a wet bar area with a mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, pull‑out sofa and a well‑lit work area with an ergonomic chair.
What you will be doing
- Greet and communicate cordially with guests, promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel. Assist in pre‑registration and blocking of reservations when necessary.
- Promptly, accurately and efficiently know how and where to post all charges.
- Have complete working knowledge of Front Office computer or manual system, including all daily transactions and those which are not performed often.
- Accurately manage cash handling, including receiving cash, checks and credit card information from guests for payment of hotel charges and making change correctly.
- Review any reservations with special requests and work to block rooms accordingly.
- Have knowledge of hotel rates, discounts and how to handle each.
- Have working knowledge of reservations and procedures, including how to take same day reservations. Should be able to take reservations in approximately 2 minutes. Know and follow cancellation procedures and relocation procedures when necessary.
Hourly Pay rate: $15.50

- Physical Requirements (In‑Office Role)
- Ability to work in a standard office environment.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. (6-8 hours a day)
- Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday.
- Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
- Ability to lift and/or move 10-25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies).
- Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles).
- Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use phone and/or headset
