Position: Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during various dental procedures
  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
  • Perform chairside assisting while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
  • Take X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Manage dental documentation and medical records efficiently, including coding and maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for appointments and managing patient information.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
  • Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure smooth patient flow within the clinic.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic is preferred.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems; familiarity with Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control measures.
  • Experience with chairside assisting techniques and four-handed dentistry is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
  • A commitment to providing exceptional patient care while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Certification in radiology or relevant dental assisting credentials is required.
