Structural Designer

We are looking for individuals with a background in Residential Construction / Remodeling, or Residential Design, to fill Entry Level Designer positions in our Jacksonville, Florida office. Apex Technology is a growing Architectural & Engineering (A/E) firm in the light commercial, multi-family, and residential structures arena. Applicants must have a high school education or equivalent, excellent organizational skills, a high attention to detail, and the aptitude to work self-sufficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Create architectural construction drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT
• Assimilate documents for permitting and construction
• Manage workload and flow of jobs
• Communicate effectively with direct supervisor
• Other tools include Microsoft Office Suite

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Residential Construction and/or Remodeling experience (preferred)
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 products, with an emphasis on Excel
• Architectural or Structural Design a plus
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Net Suite and Paychex a plus

• Detail oriented
• Strong Organizational skills
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines
• Ability to problem solve and make independent decisions.
• Experience in fast paced work environment
• Ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels and public
• Proficiency in English Language, reading, spoken, and written

General Office Environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
