Assistant Project Manager

We're looking for a collaborative, driven and curious Assistant Project Manager in Jacksonville, Florida to join our Program Management Team leading a $2B+ construction program that will enhance the lives of K-12 students.

As a key member of our Program Management Team, you will support the Interior Designer and Program Management team in planning, design, coordination, and delivery of interior environments for K–12 capital improvement projects. This role focuses on interior finishes, furniture/equipment (FF&E), signage, and user-focused design elements, ensuring alignment with district standards, educational program requirements, and project budgets and schedules.

Duties include:

  • Design Innovation and Branding
  • Partner with Interior Design and Planning teams across multiple concurrent projects (new schools, additions, renovations) to select, procure, and coordinate FFE installs.
  • Support development and implementation of school-specific branding aligned with each school's vision and mission.
  • Prepare design briefs reflecting project identity and functional learning environment needs.
  • FFE Coordination and Relocation
  • Coordinate with district staff on furniture planning, procurement, and relocation.
  • Manage purchasing, transfer, and installation of new and existing FFE, ensuring quality and schedule adherence.
  • Conduct pre- and post-move inspections to confirm readiness for school openings.
  • Maintain communication with school administrators and project managers to resolve outstanding items impacting relocations.
  • Invoice Review and Approval
  • Review and approve vendor invoices for furniture, equipment, and moving services to ensure accuracy and accountability.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Planning, Construction Management or related field
  • 1+ years of working experience on building construction projects
  • Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, program planning, team building, and client relationship building
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

  • Experience in design and task management of K12 or Higher Ed projects
  • Working knowledge of Kahua, Bluebeam, Prolog, Procore and other PMIS platforms
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, InDesign, Photoshop, and AutoCAD, or similar applications.

Posted Salary Range:
Minimum $65,000.00. Posted Salary Range:
Upper $80,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $80,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
