Overview
General Description/Primary Purpose The School of Communication is seeking a 9-month, non-tenure earning, Visiting Instructor of Communication. Position responsibilities include a teaching load of four courses in fall 2026 and four courses in spring 2027, as assigned by the Department Chair. Some of the courses most needed are MMC 1004-Media Literacy, MMC 4403-Mass Communication Research and Theory, MMC 3342-Content Creation Tools, COM 4561-Strategic Social Media, MMC 4732-Social Media Management, COM 4373-Consequences of Cyberculture, and ADV 3812-Integrated Marketing Communication.
Supervisor:
This position will report to the Director of the School of Communication.
Working Hours:
Varies. Supervision Exercised:
This is not a supervisory role. Required Licensure: N/A. Anticipated
Start Date:
The position is expected to begin on August 3, 2026.
- Masters Degree in the discipline or closely related field
- Doctorate Degree in the discipline or closely related field
- Professional experience in mass communication and social media is a plus
