In the 2025-26 school year, the KIPP Jacksonville region will be comprised of four schools educating 3,000+ students, kindergarten through twelfth grade, in the North and Westsides of Jacksonville, Florida: KIPP Impact Academy (K-8); KIPP VOICE Academy (K-8); KIPP Bessie Coleman Academy (K-8); KIPP Bold City High School (9-12).

Job Description

KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks full-time, salaried Sr. Guest Educators to work in our schools. Sr. Guest Educators are passionate educators who want to become full-time, certified teachers. Sr. Guest Educators will be placed in classrooms as the teacher for the subject/grade. Sr. Guest Educators will be expected to carry out the duties of a classroom teacher. They will prepare and execute high-quality lesson plans.

They are expected to maintain high expectations for both behavior and academics in the classroom, and communicate with the team to ensure a smooth transition in classrooms. It is expected that Sr. Guest Educators are actively seeking a Florida Teaching Certificate through the Florida Department of Education. Sr. Guest Educators will have timelines to follow and deadlines to meet to become certified teachers, which includes and is not limited to coursework, certification assessments, etc.

  • Starting salary for full-time Sr. Guest Educator: $41,000

  • The salary offered in the Docu Sign doesn’t include any stipends for which the candidate may be eligible. In our first year of paying out millage stipends, non-certified New-to-KIPP staff received an additional $3700. There are other opportunities to earn money at KIPP Jax in the form of additional stipends.
  • This offering is subject to change each school year. Terms would be outlined in an offer letter, if issued.
Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Clear path to obtaining a Florida Teaching Certificate
  • Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers

Highly Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field
  • Experience working in an urban public school or charter school setting
