Lunch Monitor; K-8

Job Description

KIPP Jacksonville seeks lunch monitors for their K‑8 campuses. Each lunch monitor works a daily shift during the lunch hours of students at the school to ensure the safety and well‑being of the students, staff and school facilities.

• Ensuring that norms and expectations for the cafeteria are adhered to by using positive reinforcement, stating clear expectations for students, and following the school’s steps to manage all student behaviour
• Maintaining the schedule for grade levels (overseeing transitions, monitoring time, giving time warnings, etc.)
• Assist, as needed, to get students through the serving line
• Assist, as needed, to direct students to tables
• Warmly interact with students while they eat

• Hourly rate: $14/hour
• Schedule:
  
  2–4 hours per day, Monday–Friday
• Maximum hours worked per week: 20
