General Description
The Department of Political Science & Public Administration seeks a 9‑month, tenure‑earning Assistant Professor of American Politics and/or Public Administration / Public Policy. The position carries a 2/2 teaching load and responsibilities in research, scholarship, and service.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in American politics, public administration, and related fields.
- Conduct research and scholarship, producing publications and securing external funding.
- Participate in departmental service and contribute to the NASPAA‑accredited Master of Public Administration program.
- Ph.D. in Political Science, Public Administration, Public Policy, Government, or a related discipline by the employment start date.
- Strong record of research or scholarly activity, with preference for data‑driven approaches to public policy.
- Ability to contribute to multiple subfields and teach both undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Prior teaching experience and evidence of teaching effectiveness.
