Nutrition Adjunct Summer

Overview

Part‑time adjunct faculty position in the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics. Adjunct faculty are employed on a semester‑by‑semester basis, as needed, and are non‑tenure‑earning. Courses, hours, and pay vary with each assignment.

• Teach assigned courses in Nutrition, ensuring alignment with curriculum objectives.
• Hold regular office hours to provide academic support and guidance to students.
• Maintain effective communication with students, addressing inquiries and providing timely feedback.
• Adhere to department guidelines and procedures, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.

Part‑time. Work schedule varies. Not a supervisory role. Anticipated start date:
May 4, 2026. Adjunct faculty are paid a minimum of $1,000 per credit hour.

• Master’s degree in nutrition or a closely related field.
• Previous teaching or related work experience in the field.
• Registered Dietitian credential.

• Doctor of Clinical Nutrition (DCN) or PhD in Nutrition or a closely related field.
• Experience teaching online courses.
• Experience as a preceptor for students in the field.
• Expertise in food service management, counseling, nutrition and metabolism.

• Current curriculum vitae.
• Unofficial transcripts.
• Names, phone numbers, and email addresses of three professional references.
• Official transcripts (and U.S. degree equivalency evaluations if applicable) documenting the conferral of qualifying academic credentials by the date of hire.

This position requires a background check and may also require a credit check. The holder of this position is designated as a Responsible Employee pursuant to Title IX. The incumbent must promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse to the Title IX Administrator or divisional Title IX Coordinator.
