Job Overview

The Head Women’s Swimming Coach is responsible for coaching instruction, recruitment, academics, compliance, and administration of the women’s swimming program at UNF.

Salary

Compensation ranges from $70,000.00 to Negotiable.

Responsibilities
  • Coach and train student‑athletes in swimming through pool and classroom sessions.
  • Develop meet and practice plans and ensure athlete growth.
  • Recruit prospective student‑athletes, evaluate them, and oversee the recruitment process.
  • Maintain program budget and comply with UNF, ASUN, and NCAA regulations.
  • Monitor academic progress and provide academic counseling in collaboration with the Academic Counselor.
  • Provide counseling on academic, disciplinary, and personal matters.
  • Represent UNF at professional, civic, community, and alumni events.
  • Serve as the program contact for administrators regarding budget, rules compliance, and other duties.
  • Report any known NCAA violations in accordance with institutional, conference, and NCAA policies.
  • Supervise assistant coaches, volunteer coaches, managers, and other personnel employed to help manage the program.
  • Act as a campus security authority (CSA) by reporting incidents to the University Police Department and completing required training.
  • Report any allegations of sexual misconduct or other Title IX violations to the Title IX Administrator or Coordinator.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination as per Fla. Stat. 112.219.
  • Background check and potential credit check are required, with Title IX compliance reporting responsibilities.
