Current Model and SchoolsIn the school year, the KIPP Jacksonville region will be comprised of four schools educating more than 3,000 students, kindergarten through twelfth grade in the North and West sides of Jacksonville, Florida.

For the current school year, teachers work Monday through Friday with occasional meetings or special events outside these hours. Hours may vary by school.
- K-8 Staff: 7:30am – 4:30pm; K-8 Students: 8:00am – 3:30pm (Wednesday dismissal 1:30pm)
- High School Staff: 6:45am – 3:45pm;
High School Students: 7:15am – 2:30pm (Wednesday dismissal 12:30pm)
Every Wednesday is a student early release day to support weekly professional development and content team meetings. This does not include Wellness Wednesdays when all staff leave at student dismissal.
Role and ResponsibilitiesKIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks to add capacity to our team with an additional physical education and health teacher. The P.E./Health teacher would instruct classes of 9th - 12th grade students. As the school grows, the teacher would instruct students across multiple grade levels and/or sections, and ideally run a club or enrichment block. Teachers are responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing curricula, assessing students, collaborating with their team, building relationships with families, and other duties as assigned.

Please note the location of Bold City High School is the McDuff campus located at 1440 McDuff Avenue North.
Our Model and Curriculum ModelThe model for the high school will change over time as more grade levels are added and the model is subject to change. Students have block schedules. Elective teachers may have a homeroom and will teach several classes in their department in addition to a club or enrichment block. Every student will be required to take one credit of physical education that incorporates health.
Any electives are selected by the school leader according to student interest and teacher certification area(s). Foreign language and elective teachers should apply through a separate posting.
- Our current starting salary for a first-year lead teacher is $50,000

- Bachelor's Degree
- Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or Eligibility for Certification in Physical Education K-12 and Health K-12
- At least one complete year of teaching secondary Physical Education with a track record of high achievement
